Kerstin liebt Urlaubsreisen und so ließ sie sich von allen eine schöne Landschaft gestalten.

Kerstin likes to travel and asked us to create landscapes for her book.

In der Toskana war Kerstin öfter, sie fühlt sich dort sehr wohl. Somit war klar, dass sie ihre Lieblingslandschaft als erste Seite auf die Reise schickt.

One of Kerstin's favourite travel destinations is Tuscany. She created Northern Italy's pretty countryside as her first block.

Anke war als nächstes an der Reise und malte ihren Lieblingsee. Es ist der Lienewitzsee, er liegt mitten im Wald. Genäht wurde diese Seite im Herbst. Einige Bäume haben sich schon verfärbt. Der schlanke Turm im Hintergrund ist ein Feuerwachturm. Er steht auf dem Wietkiekenberg (126 m über NN). Weit gucken kann man von dort. Man sieht über den Schwielowsee bei gutem Wetter Werder, Brandenburg und Berlin.

Anke chose somthing closer to home. This lake is called Lienewitzsee and can be found in the woods surrounding Kerstin's home town in Brandenburg, not too far from Berlin. She designed her block last fall when the leaf colors had already started to change. The watchtower in the background is located on a hill that is approximately 415 ft high. On a clear day you can see Berlin and the towns of Werder and Brandenburg an der Havel from up there.

Bettina wusste, dass Kerstin gern in die Provence möchte. Hier hat sie ihr schon mal gezeigt wie schön der Lavendel dort blüht.

Kerstin would love to travel to Provence someday. Bettina created Southern France's blooming lavender fields for her.

Beatrice hat eine wunderschöne Landschaft in Colorado in den Rocky Mountains dargestellt.

Susanne E. nähte Wiesen, Berge und schneebedeckte Gipfel. Sind das die Alpen?

Ines fing den Indian Summer in Neuengland ein.
Auf einer Amerika-Reise im Oktober beeindruckten mich die unglaublichen Laubfarben. Ich versuchte die Farbenpracht eines Busches mit Wolle in Herbstfarben darzustellen, die ich klein schnitt und auf wasserlösliche Folie stickte. Unterwegs sah ich auch viele bunt bemalte Briefkästen. Einen solchen soll mein Briefkasten darstellen. (Ines)

Ines had the chance to go to New England during Indian Summer a few years ago. She was inspired by the color changes and captured the blazing colors by embroidering wool fibers onto water-soluble stabilizer. Painted mail boxes along the way also captured her attention on this trip, she created one as a focus point for her block.

Nach der Neuseelandreise zum Jahreswechsel war klar, dass Susanne einen Eindruck vom anderen Ende der Welt gestalten würde. Der schönste Blick der Reise war der auf Piha Beach, 30km westlich von Auckland auf der Nordinsel.

Susanne spent last Christmas and New Year's Day in New Zealand so it was clear for her from the beginning she would create an impression from the other side of the world for Kerstin. This is Piha Beach, about 20 miles west of Auckland on New Zealand's North Island.

Renate hat eine typische Szene aus ihrem Lieblingsreiseland nachgestellt. An der Fahne zwischen den Häusern kann man erkennen, wohin sie gern fährt.
